The St. Moritz Jewelry
Escort Division is a highly specialized division. The division
was formed to provide jewelry representatives with armed protection
while transporting diamonds and other precious jewelry. In
order to provide the level of protection necessary for the
jewelry representatives, St. Moritz developed a network of
over 2,000 active and retired police officers to provide the
escorts. The armed escorts’ main function is the safety
of the jewelry representative. The main faction the armed escorts
must protect against is the South American Theft Group or South
American Terrorist Group (SATG). The SATG is an organized group
of over 3000 Columbian Gang Members who specifically target
jewelry. Through vigilance and attention to detail, St. Moritz
has performed over 35,000 escorts without incident.
St Moritz and DeBeer's
St. Moritz has been selected as De Beer's primary armed security and retail loss prevention contractor in the US. When De Beers opened its doors for business on June 22nd, 2005, for the first time ever on Fifth Avenue in New York City amid the fanfare of celebrities and its world famous diamonds, St. Moritz was there too guarding the most valuable gems in the world. St. Moritz's Retail Consulting Division planned and coordinated every security detail for the unveiling of the world famous De Beers Millenium Star - the most flawless diamond of them all.
Elements of the FBI, NYPD, and the SMSSI Retail Consulting Division worked together to ensure De Beers' promotional efforts were a success. In 2000, the Star was attacked in London, England, by a heavily armed robbery gang but was foiled by a well prepared Scotland Yard. That incident has since been chronicled in the non-fiction book, "Dome Raiders".
